Christmas 2010

What an amazing Christmas, We are so blessed! Even though the kids are older and its not as fun to see their little eyes light up when they open their presents, I still know how much they appreciate us, They tell us constantly. Its a different excitement. I just love spending time with them, Talking, Laughing, and eating!!! I cooked for 3 days straight, and had so much food! My whole family + the extras ate, Kim's family, Mom and Dad, Marci's whole family...AND THEN SOME!!!
Christmas eve, we coupled up, and made gingerbread houses. Eric and Lara almost broke up,(Eric said, people will ask why did you break up,...cause I didn't hold the gingerbread house up, the right way!")ha ha Kaylie called Brandon "bad names" and Collin, Conner, myself , and Bryan just gave up!!! I guess we don't have the patients, and my frosting was WAY to runny!! Mom took the "winner's" gingerbread house, home with her, which was Eric and Lara's, although Kaylie, and Brandon's was great too! We watched "old" videos from past Christmas's and how fun that was, I really miss those times, but love where we are at in our life's. I really felt a hole in my heart having Craig gone, but I know he was with us. I miss him so much!
It was fun to visit with everyone and I got to talk to Sherry which was wonderful, cause I have been thinking so much about her! It made my Christmas to hear her voice and talk with her...ONLY 1 more Christmas without her....
They all got great gifts and gave great gifts. I loved my pictures of Craig with the poem on it. Sadie made Collin a beautiful New York Yankees quilt. Eric got some coal...He must have been BAD! I have been overloading on pictures, so I am going to write more, and put up fewer pictures. I hope everyone had a great Christmas...

Last but most importantly My Honey turns the big 5-0. Wow I thought I was getting old, although I act older than him sometimes. I don't think I could work 10-12 hours a day walking in the heat, and cold like he does. He is a wonderful husband, Dad, and provider! He works so hard and many hours of overtime to support our Family, then helps at home, and NEVER complains! That's how I measure success!

The Princess turns 20, she wanted to spend her birthday at P.F Changs...my personal favorite! Then go to temple square, and enjoy the lights, so thats what we did! It was a nice night, and it is always fun to be with my little Family! She also wanted confetti cup cakes! (NOT A CAKE) so again...thats what she got! She is the princess, and knows it, but at least she is a sweet one! Love you Kaylie!!!!

Since the last blog, Eric turned 21! Wow I really have a 21 year old??? We spent the week in Vegas! Imagine that! He learned quickly that you cant build these beautiful casino's if everyone won! It was so fun to spend time with Mom, and watch Collin play baseball. We had a beautiful room, and ate at all the best places! Of course Mom being so "nieve" made us laugh! What a great time.
When we got home, Eric picked Tepanyaki to have his Birthday dinner. What a fun way to spend his 21st! Him and Lara hadn't been dating very long at all, but they had been talking for a year, before they started dating...Don"t ask me what took so long!!

My Brother 2-10-57 - 11-12-10

As Many of you know, November was a extremely hard month for my Family. I lost my best friend. As I write this, I hope I can give him the tribute he deserves. As the tears roll down my face daily, I try and think of all the good times we had, there are so many I cant remember them all. I have been racking my brain to remember every moment. What an amazing man my brother is! We spent lots of time together, talking, going to lunch, playing, wrestling, hugging, helping our parents, etc. etc. He was more than words can even express, and it hurts more than anything, knowing he is gone...but for just a short time. We will be together, and I am so grateful for the knowledge I have that Families are forever! He taught me that!!! He loved the Savior, and everyone knew it! I know he was to perfect for this world, but it doesn't make me miss him any less. I feel selfish in saying that we needed him more, but I am not in control, and I am not angry, just sad!!! I miss you Craigy and am so thankful I can say we never so much as argued, EVER!!! We were the best of friends, and we loved each other, there was never a doubt!

We also lost my Nephew, My sweet Neice had to bury her husband, and their 3 boys buried their Dad. What a great guy Nathan is. He was such a great provider, and loved his Family. I hope he is at peace, and I am sure Craig is up there teaching him, and has him arms around him! I pray always, that my Family will be stronger because of these trials, and know in their heart, as hard as things get, and though we dont always understand, there is a Plan. I love you Reudters!!!

I have not written in 9 months. No excuses, but so much has happened! I cant believe how much changes in your life, in 9 whole months. Where to begin....

Bryan and I have been learning what it means to be "empty Nester's" kinda!!! With all our kids getting older they are still here...but not, if you know what I mean. I cook, clean up after them, but they are usually just curled up on the couch with their boyfriend/girlfriends! and we don't exist.

Eric is in love, and has found his sweetheart, They will be getting married, not sure when, It seems they keep moving it up. We will see! I am happy for them they are so cute together, and so in love. He is still in school for Physical Therapy, and is doing good! Helping run the Margetts buisness, and R.P.T.

Kaylie is dating someone special as well, She is just having fun right now and not looking to get married. I think her heart was broke this past year, and has her guard up a little, but she has met a great guy!!! She is doing amazing in school and is an over achiever! That's good cause she makes up for my "slacking" boys! She has 3 jobs, teaching preschool, teaching dance, and nannying for Alaina and Phil. She loves them all. She fits in Brandon, school, and Family!

Conner is focusing on "his body" and football. He has been lifting weights and going to the gym 2 times a day...can you say obsession! He gets up at 6am, lifts at school, then comes home and goes to the gym with a trainer, (Zack) He has dating a lot, found some cute girls, went to dances but says he doesn't have time for them. (That my Conner) He really has been working hard. I am proud of him cause it has been a lot of work and even though he knows he looks good... He really does! He is doing good in school and has a car, and driving all over, "knock on wood..." No tickets or wrecks!!! He loves to snowboard with Collin, they have a season pass and have spent some time there, this past month.

Collin on the other hand THINKS he has found the girl of his dreams. He is 15 "mind you" but has been dating Sadie for about 9 months. I love her, but I wish they would date others, they are so young! He loves to be with her and is happy when he is!!! They have gone to their first and second dance with each other. He loves baseball and has been lifting weights for that. He has passed his drivers test and drives all over, he cant actually get his licence til Jan 31. But he is ready and excited!!!

Happy anniversary to my amazing husband, who has always worked so hard for our Family.
He is always worried about everyone else, and I know he loves me more than life. He shows it everyday! 21 years is a long time, and I have loved spending all 21 years and counting, with him.
We have a great marriage, I think the kids have seen us fight...really fight, 1 time! and it scared them to death. We (I) argue but, then he just laughs at me! He is so good to me, always makes me laugh, very easy going, always stands behing me, and I love you, and feel very blessed to be your wife, and the Mother of our kids!

Where did the time go...I miss this so much. Conner and Collin have been so fun...and challenging (not mentioning any names)but I have grown with every expierience. I love them so much, and am so grateful our Heavenly Father intrusted me with these boys!! Happy Birthday!!! I love you!

Usually we don't celebrate the boys birthdays together, but Kaylie, Eric, Bryan and I decided to get them tickets for the Jazz game, and they don't like the nose bleeds...(They have been too spoiled.) So we got great seats and went to Tepanyaki for some yummy dinner! We will have cake and ice cream on their actual days, but this works out better for me. Happy Birthday guys!!! ...Where did the time go???
Oh... then... after the Party, I went to Mom's to have a sleepover with Jig's, cause Dad and Mom went to Wendover, and thought Jig's would be sad being alone, so they asked ME of course to take care of him!! Next time its Craig, Tammy, Kim, or Sherry's turn!!!!! NOT MINE!! I must love them to give into that!! NO PICTURES OF JIG'S... SORRY!!!

Collin has a tendency to want to come home from school when he has a little headache, so when I got a call that he may need stitches I wasn't too worried. Him and a friend were goofing off at lunch, and he got pushed into a door with a hook, (by a huge Samoan kid, that has extreme power!!) (in his exact words.) and it tore his side. I knew it wasn't on purpose cause EVERYONE loves Collin. (now if it was Conner...???) I told him to go to the school nurse. He said he did, and they gave him a bandaid, so I thought... "well he is fine, no need to worry, so I picked him up 2 hours later, and both of his shirts were torn, and he had blood all over! He ended up with 7 stitches, and a Mom who felt way bad. Everyone says it looks like a stab wound, so there should be lots of fun stories with the scar!!! He didn't even flinch when they gave him about 10 shots, cause the needle wasn't working!!! I am tough Mom, he says!!! the nurse accidentally pinched him on his side where it was NOT numb with the tweezers, and he said that was the most painful part, but he was a lot tougher than I would of been!

As many of you know Mom gave us a scare last Saturday. She started having symptoms of someone who had just had a stroke, so we took her in to the hospital where they began running all kinds of tests. All which came back normal. She has been feeling so much better, and credits it all to....ya again... Sherry! not me and Dad that sat 9 hours at the hospital with her, but said Sherry prayed for her and now she feels good!!! Sherry ALWAYS gets the credit, and I do all the work. ha ha no really thank you Sherry for all your service, we love and miss you so much!!! You are our strength!!!

Bryan and Collins big adventure

Bryan and Collin set out to go skiing, and snowboarding last week, both wanting to show the other one who was better!!! I had to remind Bryan he was almost "50" so be careful. Collin is just athletic and good at anything, but he was a bit shocked at how good his Dad was at skiing. Bryan came home and bragged to us all, that he still had it!!! I am proud of the both of them, and grateful we didn't end up at the hospital!

Kaylie has been down this last week, with Jordan leaving to the Army, and I just kept saying "Kaylie, its ONLY six months" but then saying goodbye today was really hard for me, which many of you know I am not good at all with goodbyes even just overnighters with the kids I cry, but really Jordan has become such a permanent fixture at our house that we have all grown to love him so much, he is a great kid!!! I know they will be engaged when he comes home!!
They are so much in love, and that should carry then through anything!

I also made a nice dinner to end the day!!! I didn't take as many pictures this year!!! but when I did have the camera, I took alot of the same things!

I made breakfast for everyone, and it has been tradition that The Powells come too! We have lots of fun!

We all got a great Christmas, I love my purse and wallet that Eric and Kaylie got me also! We are so blessed!

We feel so very blessed to have had such a great Christmas!! We also remembered our Hawaii trip, that we got for Christmas also!! In Hawaii my Mom picked a beautiful pearl, and it has a lot of meaning to me, so Bryan had it set in a necklace with a beautiful diamond for me, He always puts alot of thought into his gifts!

She would do anything for anyone, and we all love her so much. She is a great sister and takes care of everyone. The Movies!

There were a few new movies that came out this weekend that we wanted to go see. Kaylie, Jordan and Conner went to "new moon" on Thursday. Then Saturday day, Collin saw it with his girlfriend Sadie. The rest of us didn't care about new moon, so that night we all went to "The Blind side" as a family, after eating at Spaghetti Mamas. It was a great night, and one of my favorite movies ever. I love when the kids make time for their Mom and Dad, I think they just go cause its a free night... ha ha no... we have fun too!

I initially had plans with Kaylie to see "so you think you can dance," but somehow got the date mixed up, and had also made plans with Mom, Sharon and Lisa to go to the play "Curtains" at Hale Theater. So I had to make a decision, and I really was torn. Kaylie and I decided she would ask someone to go with her, and I would go with Mom. Alaina went with Kaylie and they had an amazing time, she is lucky to have someone like Alaina to look up to.

We went to cracker barrel for dinner, shopped a little then went to the play, It was NOT the best play I have seen there but we had a great time. We laughed so hard that all us old woman almost peed ourselves!! We reminisced on another girls trip we took to St. G with Sharon at Tuachan, and she tried to shake the actors hand...and he walked right past her (If you were there it was the funniest thing ever!!) We had a great time and I am glad it all worked out, Kaylie had fun and so did we!!

October fun!

I haven't blogged in a while and I wish I could say I was just to busy, but I just didn't have motivation, or the memory to start! We started out our October by going to the Witches at gardner village! We took Evan and Preston, Alaina and Phil were in St George! I forgot how fun it is to have little ones, especially at Halloween time. We had fun riding horses, went to leatherbees after for some ice cream!!! The boys were amazing!
Since the last blog Eric was offered a Physical Therapy assistant job, which will benefit him with his career so much! He was so excited but sad to leave Craig, he still is at soap a day and a half! He really is a workaholic. He loves the pay check!! He is a hard and dedicated worker!
I got out of work on Halloween but Kaylie still had to dress up, so what a cute little baseball player she is!!! I wish I looked that good in baseball pants!!!
Last but not least, we were able to spend Halloween in St. George. The weather was absolutely perfect! we went to thriller, bowling, went on lots of walks, ate out lots, went for ice cream! (I started my diet when I got home!! don't judge, I am a bit insecure with the weight right now!!) Thriller was amazing. The boys didn't enjoy it as much, cause the Yankees were playing in the world series, but they just don't appreciate a good dance show the way Kaylie and I do, but they sat there and were so fun! Unfortunately Eric had already made plans to go to Tabiona with his friends, I guess at 20 you would rather go to there than to thriller, but I wont take it to personal sense he made those plans before deciding to go to St. George.
All in all a great month!!

OUR HAWAIIAN TRIP 2009

Dad and Jordan were so kind to take us to the airport. Then it started...Jordan got out of his car, to help us with our luggage and "Helga" gave him a ticket and we ALL let her know we were not happy, we almost needed boxing gloves!! I called her a few choice words, and followed her around! Mom almost had a heart attack, the lady almost wrote Conner up for calling her names!! The curb side guy stuck up for us, but he couldn't do anything about it, Jordan was still stuck paying a $30 ticket. Of Course we paid it, but it was ridiculous.
We then checked our luggage and had to go to the bathroom, but the one we went to was closed..YEAH CLOSED! We went to the cafe for breakfast at 10:25, we were all craving breakfast, but of course as we got seated and ordered they said breakfast was over at 10:30 well it wasn't even 10:30 yet so did we get breakfast..No! Not off to a good start. Then we got a drink for the plane, down went grandma's, and then down went Kaylie's. We were then known for spilling drinks, but met some actors who helped us clean it up. Later in the trip some people on the ship came up and asked us if we were the people who spilled our drinks in SLC. haha yeah people remembered, how embarrassing.
We were then off to get a magazine and about left our carry on in the store if it wasn't for the nice lady catching our attention. We refilled out drinks, mom got a cinnabon, and boarded the plane. Then the things I had to do started I had to keep mom's cinnabon from smashing! Bryan promised to sit by mom half way there, but he didn't keep that promise, Kaylie wouldn't let him.
We started off in Hilo, it was raining, but we did a little shopping, and also had an Aloha party but we weren't there very long before heading to Maui for two days. Aloha Maui! We rented a mini van and drove to Mana Kai Maui Beach. We went snorkeling on a little island called Molakini, wow it was bluer than a swimming pool!! We saw lots of beautiful fish and they took us around the back side of molakini which is a crescent shape. We saw an eel, and then it was off to the turtle arches and we swam with the turtles, they were HUGE! The kids loved it!! We had lunch on the excursion which was wonderful, even if we booked an excursion with tree huggers. Great memories and experiences. Grandma has had a blast too! She stayed on the boat, but saw everything we did from the boat. She said it has been a 10.5 on a scale from 1-10. She is a trooper! Lots of great food, steak, chicken, and lobster tail..not for me and Grandma of course and not the steak for Kaylie. Bryan has made us laugh the whole time, Grandma has said she has never seen this side of him. He is so funny!! We had a blast today- an experience we will all never forget.
Aloha and off to Kona today. We snorkeled again and swam with the dolphins, the most AMAZING experience ever, there were about 100 dolphins. We swam with them for about 3 hours, it was AMAZING! We got a taxi to the pier, and we couldn't believe what happened. the driver asked us where we were from so when we said Utah his next question was the usual, are you Mormon? of course we said yes, well that must of set him off because he started yelling at me and telling me that he made Mormon people walk to the temple instead of driving them, which was about a mile from where we were. He then said he has read the book of Mormon, and he said don't try to tell him it was true. This whole time none of us has said anything to him.. we were all in shock. He said that you just need love and grace..then I started in and said well our religion is all about love, then he said he wanted to slap me. We all couldn't believe what was happening..we just sat there, it was crazy! He wanted to drop us off where we were and not even take the money and I said do it and he did but we were only a few feet away anyways.. no tip for him, he was a pig!
Then off to the comedian we go.. we were all apart of the shows, it was way fun and we met so many people from all over the world. We were then of to Kauai, I think this is my favorite it is beautiful. We went to the Marriott resort, where Conner surfed, we got some drinks, and of course shopped at del sol, ABC Hawaii and some other neat shops. Kauai is such a green Island. We also saw some beautiful botanical gardens. After leaving Kauai the ship took us to the northern shore, the Na pali coast you can only get to it by boat or helicopter. You can't even get there until after that you hike 13 miles in. It was beautiful though! It was almost unbelievable.. Clint Eastwood filmed a movie there as well as the James bond movies, it was incredible. We also dressed up for dinner that night, we were all extremely tired, so we rested then went to the shows. They sang songs from Phantom of the Opera, Mom really enjoyed this. We packed our bags, and then were ready for bed. We had to say goodbye..but didn't want to. We thought about hiding under the bed so we could go another week, but I think they would of found us. The crew also did a great goodbye show that night too, so it was a day of goodbyes bitter sweet of course.
We said Aloha, and are hoping to return again soon. We had an amazing experience filled with treasured memories, my kids were amazing with grandma, and helped almost too much. LOL. They helped her with every step. Now the part I hate. Waiting in the airport for our plane. It doesn't leave until 10:00 tonight. and we are in for a wait of 12 hours! We are all so grateful for an amazing cruise to Hawaii, we will never forget this time together!

We have a 20 year old...Wow I cant believe how time flies, I have been a Mom for 20 years and I love every single second of being a Mom, Eric has been the best son a mother or Father could ask for. He is so caring and is so close to his family. He is a total joy to be around and a great example to us all. He has been easy to raise and does everything right. I can honestly say he is "just good" he has never disappointed us in anyway, He is ambitious, loving, a pleaser, determined, athletic, smart, and most important he cares about people. He is always so willing to take the boys to football, and school, he lightens my load. He truly is our friend! We love you Eric! Happy Birthday...

Keith Baby...

Wow... can he get any better? Every year, Kaylie, Vesta, Angie, and I go to the Keith Urban concert, and every year he rocks the house! He puts on an amazing show!! This year we went to "The last Samurai" to eat, I wasn't sure we were going to have time to eat at ALL, since Vesta told me she forgot the tickets...I only fell for it for a minute, and being the smart person I am...figured it was all a big lie!!!! They thought they had me but...nope!!! Finally headed to the concert. Kaylie couldn't control herself thinking about being in the same city as Keith, let alone, the same building. He was awesome!!! very entertaining! He came out into the crowd and as everyone was reaching for him, the side bar broke and everyone was dog piled on. Keith had barely missed getting smashed! but everyone was fine...I think. It was a great night out with my great friends...love you all. Thanks for a great night with great company!

A visit to Orem

Kristin called the other day, she wanted to see Kaylie's apartment. This meant a lot to both Kaylie and I, that they were interested. We set a date, and all that could come was welcome. Alaina wanted to come, but had a meeting, so Kara and Ethan picked me up, we then met Kristin and Jack and headed to Orem. What a great family I have! so much support! I love you guys! great company, and a great lunch at pizza factory! Thanks for all your love and advice!! Sometimes we take the little things for granted and I want you know these things mean so much to us!

Mom told me to make no plans for Friday night, and said I was going to go with her, so I couldnt help but wonder what we were going to do, since she is such a party animal. She said she would take me to dinner! I wont ever turn down a free dinner! So off we went. She told me we were going to the play "The pink pumpernickel" well I knew that wasn't right, but she insisted it was, so I was so excited...NOT! They have season tickets to Hale Theatre, and I was never really interested, although I do like plays. We left at 1, the play didn't start til 4, so we went shopping a little, and found Sherry a couple of things, then went to chillli's for a drink cause we still had a little time. Went to the play "THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL" which was actually a lot better than I thought. Went to TGIF for dinner (sat at the bar which was a little uncomfortable for mom and I) she said she was going to order a beer. We laughed a lot, it was actually a great night out with Mom. and a memorable one for sure!!! She is so fun!

First day of College, High School, and Middle School

Some of the incredible men in my life! They all started school yesterday, It went very well. They all loved it! Conner and Collin had football right after school, so I didn't even see them til late, but
everyone had a great day. Eric loved his first day of college. No problems, and said there are lots of "hot girls!" but Kaylie on the other hand had a different kind of day...

Mom and I, went to Orem to see Kaylie's apartment. Her first day wasn't so good, I got a call first thing in the morning, and her voice shaking, "Mom I am lost" well I thought she was at least on campus, but no...I said where are you? She said I am in Provo on some corner. Immediately I panicked, young girl on a corner in Provo, has no idea where in Provo, (She got off the bus after realizing she wasn't going to UVU) I also had no idea where in Provo...but Vesta came to the rescue cause she knows Provo like the back of her hand, knew where she was, She then called Lyle, and he saved her life!!! Man she owes him BIG time. Thanks Lyle... then she went to institute, hadn't eaten AT ALL, decided to go back home before her dance class and eat, well she witnessed a wreck, and the cop wouldn't let her leave until she filled out a statement. She then was to late to go to dance. I got a text that said.."Mom I hate college." but we laughed, took her to dinner, accidentally hit her in the head with the headboard..(don't ask how!) gave her a headache, and goose egg. Put her in bed, and now she is ready to go back. I know tomorrow will be a better day!!!

It has been two months, that my sister has been in Fukuoka Japan, on thier mission. I recieved a wonderful e-mail today, I wanted to post. She means the world to me and I miss her so much.

College Time...

Well off she goes... Finally its here and surprisingly I am not too sad. Being the emotional person that I am, I thought I would be a basket case, and I am a bit sad, but more than sad I am excited for her to start this adventure. Don't get me wrong, I definitely shed some tears, I just was not the emotional wreck I was anticipating. When Kaylie, Eric and I got to Orem, They had big welcome signs, and people in the pool playing ping pong. and I immediately thought of how much fun she will have. (Eric said when he is not at his campus he will definatly be at hers.) We carried everything up, (Thanks to Eric) made her bed, put up the shower curtain, gave her all my cash to go shopping, paid first months rent, and off we went, thats all she needed Mom and big brother for. She was so excited and they even had a BBQ for all residents. Cori, her friend since kindergarten was there to meet her. We were the first of her room mates to get there, so we set up fast, then they all slowly arrived. Go gett em' girlie...have the time of your life, We love you!!!

This is my letter from Kaylie.... off to college

Mom-I'm sitting here and I can't sleep. I keep thinking that this is one of my last nights here for a bit. I just wanted to tell you how much I love you and appreciate all you do for me. Without your help I wouldn't be able to be moving nor able to experience this next part of my wonderful life to the fullest. It really means a lot to me that I have your support. Thank you for all the time and money you have spent as well... Thank you for being there for me always and for just being you. I seriously have the best mom in the world, and all my friends seem to agree. I am going to miss you a ton but I know I will be home a lot, and if anything, this experience will strengthen our relationship. It really blows my mind that I am already in college, I'm sure it blows your mind twice as much, it's fiinally hitting me though. I am so excited! I have the supprt of the best family I could ever ask for, the best friends anyone could ever want and I will be at one of the coolest schools ever. All thats left to do is live my life to the fullest. I really hope to see you in Orem a lot and just have us time like we did the other day, you'll never know how much that really meant to me. Just like I don't think you'll ever know how much you mean to me. Seriously mom, you are perfect to me. I idolize you so much and it might sound clique but I really want to be just like you someday and I think my life will be complete if I can be half the mother you are. I look up to you so much and really try to think of you in every decision I make. Thank you for loving me and also thank you for loving Jordan, he really loves you too. I really hope I'm not putting more stress on you with leaving, I know you are already having a hard time with Sherry, but I am only 45 minutes away and will see you a ton! fun and "relaxing" weekend!

Kaylie, Angie, and I started our Saturday by shopping in park city. We ate lunch at Loco Lizard, (I would HIGHLY recommend it!) then did some more shopping, then went to Heber. took a little nap. We waited for Vesta to join us and went for some dinner at dairy keen. Vesta and I Watched about 15 minutes of "17 again," went to sleep for the night, (Thats were Vesta ended up ALL night) Ang and Kaylie got through the whole movie...I think, (no proof of that) Got up in the morning went for some breakfast at the "hub" went back home to finish watching the movie we fell asleep for the night before...as you can see Kaylie and I finished the movie as Vesta and Angie slept AGAIN! (we do have proof cause we had fun taking pictures!) Waited for my dear friend to wake up again, cleaned a bit and were on our way home. Obviously we were sooo busy we didnt have time to play the games we brought, go to the pool, play tennis, or just sit outside, (it was a bit chilly) but thoroughly enjoyed every minute, and especially the company! A perfect weekend of relaxing if you ask me...eat, sleep and be merry.....right? I will add shopping to that.

Today the boys had a pre-season scrimmage. They

did awesome both played well!!! I am so proud of them for the time

and effort that goes into this. 9-1130 every morning, then 4-930 every night! Now thats dedication!!! Have a great season boys, but most importantly have fun!!!!

The one thing I "HATE" is they come home and they stink so bad, it makes me sick!!! My sweet...... little boys, I thought would never smell like "this!"....

when they say boys stink...... oh man, thats an understatement. I have the shower turned on as soon as they pull into the garage! My little Kaylie never smelled like that.

We are really starting to feel old, 2 kids in college, and 2 kids playing high school football. Conner just registered for high school today, and I can't believe it. He is really growing up. Where does the time go? For you young Mothers...Don't ever wish the time away! Enjoy every minute!

What a great day. Kaylie and I headed out early this morning to UVU to get the books she needed, see her apartment and start accepting the fact she is moving out. What a great chapter in her life. I am so excited for her and this adventure. When I was walking around campus today, thoughts racing through my head, I couldn't help but think of how big everything and everyone was and thinking...she still is my baby. Is she ready for this? but I know she is and how much fun she will have. She is so good, smart, logical, and beautiful, and that sure makes it easier to let go. She is ready and I know she will have the time of her life.
We then went to lunch at P.F Chang's (my very favorite!) and shopped at the mall for a while, then finally stopped for a movie. Julie and Julia! Cute show, not necessarily my favorite, but cute. We laughed a lot and had a great time. Thanks for a memorable day, I love you sweetie!!

Wow I am glad Alaina told me ahead of time how expensive books are.

What a great day...My good friends baby was given a name and blessing. What a wonderful blessing he received, lots of neat promises. We love this Family so much, they are such good examples, and we feel so lucky to be a part of their lives, and to be included the way we are. They had a FANTASTIC dinner after. Bryan's Surgery

We started at 5:30 AM yes that is AM, and headed for alta view hospital. As most of you know Bryan had a permanent goose egg on his head. He said "It was because he had so many brains that they were starting to pop out," and was cracking jokes all morning. He does make me laugh!!!... It seemed to be growing, so the plastic surgeon wanted to remove it. They said it was deep and under the muscle so it may give him a black eye. He keeps threatening me that he will blame me, if I dont do what he says!

Kaylie and I sleeping the first hour, went down for some breakfast and diet cokes. I started getting nervous cause they said he would come and talk to us by 8:30, but at 9:15, we still hadn't heard anything, but He explained it was a little deeper than expected.

He said they gave him some "I dont care medicine" and thats all he remembers....

All done, and ready to go home. He did so good, and even peed on his own. No nausea at all!! He wanted a stuffed animal like the little boy getting his tonsils out, but the nurse said he wasn't good enough!!

Kaylie wasn't with us at the games, she had "so you think you can dance" try outs. She is totally amazing, and has the potential, but you never know what and when they are looking for certain people. She had an amazing time, and met some neat people... Cat Deeley interviewed her, and Randi from this season told her she was amazing!!! The other one in the picture is caitlyn. (that would only mean something if you watch the show) keep your eyes open for her on season 8......I am proud of her love and determination for dance. She said 10 hours of waiting might not of been worth it...but if you dont keep trying you will never know. It took Brandon (from Utah) 7 times auditioning to finally get on, now he is in the top 6. Keep trying baby!!! never give up!

We live in Salt Lake one of the most beautiful places in the country, and I forget how pretty the mountains are!!! We took a ride past Kamas to the Jordanelle dam, it was a gorgeous ride... stopped and took some pictures after Collins game. I love, and am so thankful for the boys/men in my life, they are freakin amazing...especially my hubby who works so hard so the kids can keep playing!!!!!!!!

Saying goodbye to our coaches...

Wow what a crazy/busy weekend...First on thurs. went to Heber and had two games in the extreme heat, we then had another two in Kamas on Friday my hubby had to work but was able to come up and enjoy an expensive steak dinner with the Family. Eric is a total life saver, putting up shade, carrying coolers, fixing things, etc. He is such a great help...and the best part, NO complaints. Collins team played the #1 team in the state, and led the whole game but, had a rough last inning, and lost by ONE!! ya it was a great game!!!!! He pitched the last game and we laughed cause he pitches a bit slow so we thought they would hit the ball hard, but YA, my boy got a backwards K...which means he struck them out looking!!! (they didnt swing the bat, for those of you who dont know much about baseball) so proud of him, he always has a smile and works so hard.

Love those games!!!!

Roxy even had some Lunch... it was so funny, she stuck her head in the chips and couldn't get it out!!!

We just got home from Bear Lake, We always have such a great time. Lots of water sports, wave runners, food, sun, smores, memories, and just spending time with Family and Friends!!! Mom and Sharon came up on Wednesday, and stayed in the condo, they were such great sports, and even went on the boat...thanks to Sharon. Kurt, Kara and Ethan came up on Friday with their boat, and that was so nice cause ours had broke, and they were so good to share, what a cute Family!! Thanks guys!!!!

Played beach Volleyball, man Kara and Collin were awesome, and I wasn't to bad, It was so fun!

One of our friends, which is a newlywed, lost his wedding ring in the water, it was like trying to find a needle in a haystack, or a small ring in sand tring not to kick up the dirt, we thought we would NEVER find it, but leave it to Conner, (he always seems to get everyone out of a mess) to find it. Way to go Conner you saved the day!!!

Three unbelievable thing happened here...I skied, haven't done that in years, Kara got up on the air chair and just screamed the whole time didn't know what to do when she was up, and Mom took a long ride on the boat!!! pictures to prove it...

Eric has been going to the gym every night and has put on 10 pounds, he now weighs 180, and when he got home from his mission he weighed 120. He thinks he is a stud...but I have to say he is getting "BIG!!" and is much healthier!

Happy 4th!! We spent the day in Heber, we took the motor home thinking we would have a place to get out of the rain, if we needed to, but thought we would be out of there in the early afternoon, but they won, and won, and won!!! so, we are so glad we did have the motor home to rest!! Thanks Mom and Dad for the support, I am glad you guys came up, and ate lunch and dinner with us!! Collin, we are so proud of you!!! Great Tournament! 3rd place out of 22 teams! you had some great hits, and great defense!! All-in-all a great day with the whole family PLUS some!!

We are at baseball games 90% of the time, Collin always has a big smile no matter the outcome, he strikes out and walks to the dug out with a grin from ear to ear. He has so much fun, and of course we love to support him, it has been such a big part of our lifes for about 17 years now!!! there is nothing like a nice little get-a-way sitting in the sun, with a cold diet coke watching my boys play!!! And I especially love the fact that he picked #37. The same number Eric had all through high school. He looks up to him so much.

Happy Birthday to me!! Well I hate to admit this but I am 41 today! I have had a wonderful day though!!! I got some cards from the family, and friends and some flowers from Kaylie and Bryan! I spent most the day at baseball parks watching collin, which is one of my favorite things to do! Then.. we went to our favorite dining place. TEPANYAKI!! It was such a fun night our cook was hilarious and the people we sat by made it that much more fun! I also got some yummy ice cream and a birthday song! all in all it was a great day!! thank you to everyone! love you guys!!!

My best friend and sister Sherry Margetts and her husband Sherm Margetts as most of you have heard have been called to serve as mission presidents in Fukuoka Japan for not one, not two but three years! Today was thier farewell and they did such a great job!! The food was good too :) I am so proud of both Sherry and Sherm and am going to miss them so much!! They are such an example to all those they come in contact with and those missionaries in Fukuoka are very lucky and will be in great hands! I love you my sister!!!!

We have some sad news, Our uncle and great uncle has passed away. We heard the news at about 7 pm last night. He has been weak for a few months now and he finally has gone home. CLASS OF 2009!!!

Kaylie just graduated from West Jordan High School on Thursday June 4th!!! Man how the time flies! I already have two graduated now! Kaylie graduated with three different types of cords, one for liberal arts-dance which she also got an enhanced dimploma on, she had a cord and an enhanced diploma for health and recreation-dental and she also got a cord for being an academic scholar! Am I bragging too much?!

If that's not all, she was also a top scholar (3.8 gpa or higher) and she also graduated seminary with a four year diploma! We are so proud of her and are looking forward to what she does next in life! CONGRATS GRADUATE! We love you!
